Always Remember…
This is a great reminder that I received on an email from Al Huda Institute attributed to Shazia Nawaz, with slight modifications.
When hungry, remember the Prophet [s] tying two stones to his stomach in the battle of Khandaq.
When angry, remember the Prophet’s [s] control of anger on the martyrdom of his beloved Uncle Hamza.
When having a toothache, remember the Prophet’s [s] tooth in the battle of Uhud.
When bleeding, remember the Prophet’s [s] body covered in blood on his return from Ta’if.
When feeling lonely, remember the Prophet’s [s] seclusion in Mount Hira.
When feeling tired, remember the Prophet’s [s] blessed feet in Tahajjud.
When hurt, remember the Prophet’s [s] pain from the thorns of Abu Lahab’s wife.
When being troubled, remember the old woman who would empty rubbish on the Prophet [s].
When travelling on a long journey, remember the Prophet’s [s] long journey to Madinah.
When sacrificing an animal, remember the Prophet’s [s] sacrifice of 63 animals for his Ummah.
When falling into an argument with your wife, remember how the Prophet [s] dealt with his wives.
When experiencing a shortage of wealth, remember the Prophet’s [s] days of poverty.
When losing a child, remember the Prophet’s [s] son, Ibrahim.
When losing a parent, remember the Prophet’s [s] age at six.
When fearing an enemy, remember the Prophet’s [s] saying to Abu Bakr in Mount Thour.
When facing a calamity, remember the Prophet’s [s] departure from this world.
Whatever situation you may find yourself in, remember your role model, the best of creation: Prophet Muhammad [s].
